MEET CHRIS BALL

CHRIS BALL

FOUNDER AND CEO

I am a professional financial planner, NASM-certified personal trainer, author, and speaker. I am extremely passionate about assisting others to make transformations in their lives. I have had the great honor to serve many individuals and help them overcome obstacles to achieve their goals.

Before I pursued my passion for all things financial muscle, I worked in a variety of corporate positions in information technology and energy management. My career prior to starting my business was much like the character Peter in the movie Office Space! Despite working with some amazing people, I knew that corporate life was not for me. Once I finally got the opportunity to pursue my dream business, it’s been such a joy.

I am the owner of Financial Muscle Planning LLC which provides personalized fee-only financial planning, and Build Financial Muscle LLC which provides client education and advice using old-school and cutting-edge principles.

I was born and raised in the Metropolitan Detroit area and I have been a lifetime Michigan resident. I still resides with my wife Isabella in the Great Lakes State. Michigan has been a great place to live, but I am getting more cranky about winter, especially since it interferes with golf season!

I consider it an honor to serve others on the road to financial independence. Please contact me to discuss your needs and set up a consultation.

  • Supporter – Kennedy’s Disease Association

Kennedy’s Disease is an adult-onset disease with symptoms generally developing between the ages of 30 to 50. Kennedy’s Disease is often misdiagnosed as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Both the spinal and bulbar neurons are affected causing muscle weakness and atrophy throughout the body. It is most noticeable in the extremities (legs/arms) , face, and throat causing speech and swallowing difficulties. There are many other symptoms associated with the disease. Fortunately, life expectancy is noted to be at or almost normal. However, most patients end up  struggling with daily activities for the rest of their lives as the symptoms progress.

It takes an enormous amount of research funding in order to find treatments for diseases such as Kennedy’s. There has been exciting progress in recent years toward finding effective treatments and preventative measures. However, there is a long way to go in order to find a cure.

One of my best friends is affected by this disease, and I am so impressed with the attitude and outlook he has toward his condition. He is a wonderful husband and father, and works hard everyday to support his family and not let his symptoms stop him. I am so hopeful that treatments can be developed to help improve his quality of life and others who suffer from Kennedy’s Disease.
